Describing Abby’s writing is hard. It’s a feeling, like putting on a comfy sweater that makes you feel good all over!! Her speech is sophisticated and yet down to earth, none of the exaggerated teen speak I have found in other YA books. Her worlds come to life and I get totally immersed in their reality and the characters. The end of a book is always filled with great sadness, since there will have to be a wait for the next one.

Incredibly Amazing: I’m still open-mouthed…what a ride, what brilliant story. Reaching the end of this wonderful roller coaster didn’t cease the impact created by this narrative. An original story, written like a painting, a sensory one… I love the way Abby describe each setting, the poetry embedded in each scene, the supporting characters, and the originality of the story. I’m enchanted by it. A book to read a thousand times.

Such a good trilogy! I read each of these books individually, and they are probably my favorite of A.L. Knorr’s series. It was so well written, atmospheric, creepy, and exciting! I may have to get this paperback of the series for my shelf!

A great read mixing mystery and mythical: A gripping trilogy A mix of mystical and intrigue. This story felt slightly darker than the author’s other books. I quickly warmed to the characters and felt compelled to keep reading to find out what happens to them.

These stories can be read as stand-alones. Heat is describes how Chad and Angelica Wendig, Gage and Ryan’s parents, met. It also introduces a young Basil Chaplin. “Death of a Mage” is a prequel to Born of Fire.

Exciting Journey: The Kacy Chronicles are a set of beautifully written books. The authors’ did a wonderful job creating the world these books take place in. Their descriptions captured my attention and made Jordan and Sol’s tale come to life. The characters are well developed and I enjoyed getting know each of them. If you love discovering new words, solving mysteries, action with a bit of romance I think you might enjoy Jordan and Sol’s tale as well.
